When it comes to locating a site with non-metallic targets (such as these shards), dowsing is the best method. Sifting on a survey, can be a long process, then to study or gather information from the soil containing the shards.

Two very old iron ax heads were found, always good to see them, something people find interesting in museum displays. Hope the axe head is oriented right, with the top edge up. All kinds of iron "what nots" with a copper Indian bracelet.

More survey finds made on the French historic site. Not sure what type of artifacts these are supposed to be, for now they will remain in the category "unknowns" until identified. A close up look at the largest one found.
