I'll bet that gold necklace was heavy for a person to wear. The beads remind me of the Navajo silver rain beads they use for on a necklace. I was looking for the silver Navajo rain beads on the Internet. Came across this old Navajo necklace for sale, not sure of the name for these beads but the shape is more like the Thracian necklace gold beads. link-Navajo necklace
